Position Overview:
An integral part of the Nutrition team, the Food Pantry Assistant/ Warehouse Assistant provides direct support to the day-to-day operations of the Corner Market, Home Delivered Meals, and the Loonin Family Kitchen. This position will be responsible for supporting the evening operations of the Corner Market, in-person shopping, and online order pickups, in addition to daily warehouse and kitchen operations. Working with volunteers and the Nutrition team, you will be providing vital nutrition support to San Diegans facing nutrition insecurity.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. As a routine part of work, employees will generally be required to use their hands to manipulate, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; and talk and hear. This position requires frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
